Jarrod’s relationship with photography began in family.
His father, one of twenty children, grew up in Biloxi, Mississippi, where gatherings were shaped by tradition and connection. As a child, Jarrod spent hours in his grandfather’s radio room, surrounded by vintage film cameras and the quiet permanence of printed photographs.
Few images from that time remain. The ones that do carry weight.
That early understanding continues to shape his work today. Photography is not about excess. It is about preservation. About creating images that endure beyond the moment and remain meaningful years later.
